Anyone that ever met Byron knew he was a special person. Quick with a smile and a handshake, it seemed that Byron never knew a stranger. In his 24 years it was evident that he would spend his life helping people. He was always one to assist someone in class or spend more time on the practice field. He was kind, humble, could make you laugh, and just a joy to be around. He made his friends, family, teammates, and peers better by making them stronger. His positive energy was apparent every day, as Byron always said he was just “Living the Dream.” He was our superstar.
Byron had completed his first year of physical therapy school and it was apparent that that he was going to be successful. He would be doing what he knew how to do best, helping people every single day. On July 11, 2011 a tragic accident occurred that took Byron from all of us too soon. As he did every day of his life, in his passing he made a selfless act. Seven of his organs were donated to others in need, and they now have life because of our friend.
Byron’s spirit lives on in the people he helped and in every one of his friends and family members. The impact he had on all of our lives is immeasurable and we want to be sure his legacy continues.
